DVLA Registrations and Personalised Number Plates

Whether you are looking to buy new DVLA number plates as a bit of fun from a few hundred pounds or whether you want to make a statement with Cherished Number Plates that can cost over £250,000 myownplate.co.uk is the private plate company to choose with over 25 million DVLA number plates for sale. Our extensive range includes Dateless British Car Registrations which date as far back to 1903. These are 'original cherished' and although the most desireable, they are usually the most expensive number plates as they are so rare. The reason they have the greatest demand is because the letters come in the beginning of the plate For example AM 9 and ABC 123. Car Registrations like this with one or two letters are followed by numbers up to 9999 and number Plates with three letters are followed by the numbers 1 to 9999.

Very similar to these are Reversed Dateless British Car Registrations. The only difference is that these number plates start with numbers such as 867 RSP and 7723 TW. This style is usually slightly less valuable than the original cherished marks. Numbers up to 999 are used for 3 letter plates and numbers up to 9999 for the 2 letter combinations. If your budget does not stretch to these expensive style registration marks why not consider DVLA prefix Registration Numbers. These are DVLA registrations with the year letter at the beginning of the number plates and examples look like something like this: P6 GEF or R77 GWJ. Registrations like this always have three letters at the end and include the numbers 1 to 999 plus the prefix letters. Most of these DVLA car registrations start at around £185 plus VAT and most can be transfered within 4 working days. Many customers actually invest in these number plates for the future by holding on the V750 Certificate of Entitlement. DVLA number plates were issued by the DVLA Swansea from 1983 until 1999. We still have around 20 million unused DVLA Personalised number plates for sale from DVLA registrations.

If you are fortunate enough to have a vehicle registered after 1st September 2001 then you also have the option of New Style DVLA Registrations. These new style DVLA registrations are instantly recognised because the middle of the plate contains the year indicator. If you are clever enough, you can make up some very interesting combinations. e.g. BL05 SOM and BR15 TOL. These type of number plates are also ideal if you want both sets of initials on your plate. This style of number plate will be offered for sale with the middle year identifier changing every March and September until September 2099 when DVLA will have to come up with another design. Just like the prefix registrations, you cannot make your vehicle appear newer by purchasing a newer registration number. Other options include Suffix Car Registrations and Irish Registration Numbers. Suffix Car Registrations are registration mark issued between 1963 and 1983 where the year letter is shown at the right hand side of all the number plates. For example MEJ 98J and MDE 838R. Irish Registration Numbers are easy to recognise as they always carry an "I" or a "Z" in the combination but never have a year letter. Make sure you check out our BAZ, GAZ,GIL,JIL, HIL registrations.
